FLIGHT NOTES

These notes are a guide for the non standard keys and additions

The recommended flight parameters listed below are intended to give approximations for flights at maximum takeoff or landing weight on a day with International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) conditions.

The Reference speeds and checklists are located on the Kneeboard. To access the Kneeboard while flying, press F10, or select the Aircraft menu, and then choose Kneeboard.

By default, this aircraft has full fuel and payload (2 pilots and stores).

Engine Startup

By default when you begin a flight the engines are running ,it is possible to initiate an auto-start-up sequence by pressing CTRL+E on your keyboard. If you want to do the start-up procedures manually, follow the checklist procedures on the Kneeboard. See the Panel info for switch locations

Special notes in 3D cockpit

Magneto Switches (mouseable): (hand plus cursor) left click mouse till both switch's are in the up position then hold down left mouse button to start
(hand minus cursor) left click to cycle magneto switch's watching for RPM drop

There is a mouse spot on the lower right panel (speed advisory plaque ) which adjusts mixture, top section (hand plus cursor) Mixture Rich
bottom (hand minus cursor) Mixture Lean

Taxing and Takoff

Taxi: This Aircraft has no brakes, so small genal movements on throttle using full up elevator to slow excessive speed and rudder to steer

Take Off : Smoothly increase throttle to full using rudder to keep centred down runway, at around 35 knots tail should come up (depending on load) at around 45knts ease back on stick and start climb

Genral Flying

Automatic wing slats will open and close depending on Angle of Attack and speed, these are lockable by using the / (airbrake) key
This is recommended for Aerobatics and Spin Testing

Spins :Check slats are in the locked position (lever lower right side of cockpit is full forward)
Gain sufficient hight reduce throttle to min and slowly raise nose above horizon as stall horn sounds/nose drops
kick in full right rudder recover by applying left rudder until level and ease back on stick

Loops: Check slats are in the locked position Wings level nose below horizon until speed over 95 knots,
ease back on stick until fully back and hold watch for swing over the top due to engine neg G cut out.

Landing

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing :D
