What else do we fly? - Gatwicksteve - 07-29-2011

Having seen the lovely shots of the B-17 and P-47 in other threads, I got to wondering what you guys fly when not in a Tradewind aircraft. Here are some of mine, please feel free to add your own;Popcorm1

Love a bit of bush flying - here I'm aiming for the short grass strip, not the airport further off!

And one of my favourites, the wonderful old DC-2, here in the circuit at Alderney (EGJA) where I would love to work one day!

Hi Steve.

WOW, very impressive pictures as always. It is hard to tell which one I would like the mostConfused

Here is a picture of an aircraft that I love to fly from time to time. There are some more, but i don't have pictures right now. Biggrin

Hi Steve,

Great shot's you got there again.

Myself besides Tradewind, I happen to be addicted to the Accusim stuff at A2A, more specific the P47 and B17 like you mentioned from the other posts, but also their Piper Cub and the Spitfire.
I love the realism they simulate with Accusim.

Here's the Spitfire MkII on final to 00R, Livingston Muni.

I also fly quite a bit around in the Captain Sim C130, more specific the E and L100-30 versions.
The C130-E Air Contractors at KUNU ramp (Dodge City)

Flying American Airlines routes with the LevelD767, mostly from KJFK to Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Paris...

Also with the LevelD767 but then in Jetair Fly livery (OO-TUC) flying to various Caribbean and African destinations from EBOS, Ostend-Bruges... an airport very close to where I live.

I also still love the MAAM SIM DC3, here seen leaving Koyuk AK (PAKK)

Frequently I also fly Lufthansa routes in the PMDG744, mostly from Frankfurt (EDDF)

And also for NASA I like to fly stuff around in their 744, seen here at the Shuttle Landing Facility... ready for takeoff to pick up a satellite at the Jet Propulsion Lab in Passadena.

Well, I like to fly the B200 Super King Air from Aeroworx as well.

N200EA departing MDSD for a flight to Grand Turk.

And the office of N200EA.

Besides FS9/FSX I also quite frequently use the following sims:

Falcon 4.0 Allied Force

In my opinion still the most thorough simulation of the F16 and systems, in a league of it's own

RE: What else do we fly? - CBreuer - 01-28-2012

Well, still talking about what we fly? Since about over one month I fly the EC135/EC635 quite some time. Right now it is only available for FS9, but the FSX version is in development and should be released soon...
The VC:

The armed EC635 'Night Owl'.

The flight was going from Port Hardy (CYZT) to Victoria (CYYJ).
I had to land at Comox as I had to tweak the flight dynamics a little bit as flying on autopilot the helicopter yaws from left to right and that makes you sick. Nevertheless the helicopter is really nice to fly by hand.

You can find the helicopter at Hovercontrol.com
Hovercontrol forum topic regarding the EC135

RE: What else do we fly? - CBreuer - 04-06-2012

Well, this will be the next aircraft for some of the MP-Sessions in the future.
A big thanks goes to Jack Ford who did some nice fine tuning and tweaking on this repaint which in fact originally is for FSX. Not to forget the original repainter Alexander Hauck.

At the 2010 FlightSim happening at Lelystad I bought the Aerosoft Fighting Falcon package for FSX.
It's a great representation of this aircraft considering what can be done in FSX, and a joy to fly.

The types I fly the most, also recently on Multiplayer sessions, is the F-16 MLU Fighting Falcon of the Belgian Air Force 31 'Tiger' Squadron.

Also to be deployed during Multiplayer will be the Belgian Air Component Lockheed Martin F-16AM solo display aircraft FA-110 in it's new paint scheme "The Vortex", on airshows flown by Cdt. "Mitch" Beulen.
Thanks to Jack who finally pointed me in the right direction Thumbup
