RE: What else do we fly? - Gatwicksteve - 05-04-2012

Flying the helo's on my North to South trip inspired me, so here's a couple I've flown recently:

A tight landing spot in Alaska (ORBX scenery)

MD500 setting down on a cruise ship

French Customs EC135

This could be tricky! Needles lighthouse helipad (freeware from Earth Simulations for FSX)

As close as I could get this time!

Very promising for the future of Flight Simming....

And a good thing is that lot's of FSX addons are compatible, next to the fact that companies as Carenado, FTX/ORBX, REX and so on.... are creating free updates if you already have an FSX license for the respective product.
This gave me the opportunity to install all my FTX stuff into Prepar3d.

One good thing for starters is the scenery/texture rendering... .No more blurries.... Rofl

Two of my new toys, which I have for a few weeks now and I'm really loving them.
And though developed as FSX aircraft, they fully work in P3D where these screenshots were taken;

IRIS PLATINUM SERIES - F-15E MUDHEN

IRIS PRO SERIES F-14 TOMCAT

In this latter case... feel like Tom looking out for Kelly :-))))

Wow, Stefaan.

Very impressive. Looks like you are having fun with those nice birds.

RE: What else do we fly? - CBreuer - 10-12-2012

Now that I have FSX as well I mainly use it for VFR flying mostly around my hometown using an EC135 from the 'Bundespolizei'. The model is from H&S Design.

First picture was taken over the city where I work and below the left skid you can see the the building where I actually work:

Eight seconds later: The city of Moers.

Heading back towards Moers from Duisburg-Rheinhausen:

Now there you can see my house where I live. You can see the house right next to my right skid.

Now flying along the river Rhine.

And the final picture showing once more the place where I work: just left of the vertical frame Biggrin

Now going to update the EC135 On_the_quiet

RE: What else do we fly? - TCA2050 - 10-12-2012

Very nice shots Christian !
It's always nice when you can recognise your area like that.
Tried it with the Belgium scenery myself :-)

RE: What else do we fly? - CBreuer - 01-13-2013

Well, here comes another great aircraft of it's time: The F-111E 'Aardvark' from Golden Key Studio.

Here already in flight at around 14500 feet on a cross country flight from Plattsburgh to Tampa.

The panel - still with night lighting switched on. BTW the ADI is not working at the moment. But I think it should as it obviously also works as a compass...

Leaving Ft. Lauderdale after a touch and go there. Watch the wing flex!

Now keeping it down to about 2500 feet and fast:

Turning near Homestead:

Taxiing to the parking position at Tampa right now.

Steve, did you take this picture? Maybe next time you better ensure to have the ladder with youBiggrin

Now I also need to find out how the famous dump and burn effect works.Rofl
