KIAD Cargo apron - CBreuer - 06-05-2010

After a quite short flight for a B744F of only 3:52 and a block to block time of 4:17 we are parked at the cargo apron at Dulles Airport in Washington. Right now the clothes are currently offloaded from the big bird. The flight actually took place on June 03.

In the background there are more cargo carrier like FedEx and UPS (with a nicely looking DC-8).

The towers and the terminal in the background.

A Sun Country is about to depart from 19C...

I had a little walk around the 'Global Trader' before we headed for the hotel to get a fresh shower. Bye

Flight TL0608-10 will surely depart in complete darkness at about 06:00Z on Saturday Indifferent

Christian, are you using the PMDG 747 and FS9?

Thanks, Rick.

RE: KIAD Cargo apron - TCA2731 - 06-07-2010

Thought that was what you were using. I just finished a flight from KTPA to KMSP in the default FSX 747 and now I remember how much I disliked it before. The virtual cockpit is a joke. It seems like none of the functions that are in the FS9 version work in the FSX version. Pretty frustrating when you can't change any of the MFD's and the autopilot cmd button doesn't work. One would think if they were going to port the FS9 panel over to FSX, they would have made sure it worked. Oh well, I guess I'll have to live with it. I can't justify the PMDG at the moment because I don't often fly long enough routes to justify it. Looks like I'll be a 737 driver for a while. That's not all bad.
