Hi guys,
this flight leads us from L'Aigle Saint Michel (LFOL) to Luxeuil St. Sauveur AB (LFSX). this flight was much more to my liking as it didn't contain so many zig zag turns as some of the previous legs. Now you can relax a little bit more
First of all Dave was there at St Michel just to tell us that he won't be able to join. Well, no problem. We will see him back next weekend then.
At 17:10Z we were ready to go. St. Michel is a rather small airfield and I was not sure whether I can bring the F/A-18E up into the air.
I can tell you that I barely made it into the air. Soon thereafter I was passing L'Aigle VOR, which you can see behind the left stabilizer. Adn if you look closely you can see that Microsoft did place it at the exact location...
About 15 minutes into the flight we already set up for an approach to runway 28 at Chateaudun AB (LFOC). Flying the downwind leg:
And turning to final and you can see Stefaan in his F-16A just in front of me.
Turn and burn baby:
Ten minutes later we arrived at Bricy AB (LFOJ) near Orleans for our touch and go. This time Stefaan is behind me.
And flying next to Stefaan in his wonderful F-16 (unfortunately the wrong scheme):
Short final for St Denis De L'hotel (LFOZ) also near Orleans.
Hot departure:
Positioning for the touch and go at Branches airfield (LFLA) near Auxerre.
Stefaan again behind me:
Some enroute pictures on our way to Dijon Longvic AB (LFSD).
And here we have Dijon Longvic AB.
Turning to downwind for runway 18:
I only need half of the width of the runway
Airborne again...
Now the Red Baron is back in his element: Stefaan is in deep sh.t
And now some very nice pictures of us flying in close formation.
Arriving at our final destination:
And here we are parked at the ramp at St Sauveur AB.
Well, I hope you liked the pictures. More will follow next week
Have a nice week.
