I installed the PMDG 747 repaints into the FSX version. But there appears to be a texture incompatibility between FS9 and FSX. Some of the textures are too dark (as if nighttime), while others are too bright.

1) Is there a good freeware tool out there for repainting so I might get some of these paints "repaired" for FSX?

2) Is there a "template" of TCA textures for repainting other a/c (like, say, the Wilco 737-500)?

3) If a dog walks east 1.5 miles from his house to the Italian Restaurant in town at a rate of 100 steps per minute per paw, how much fuel would I need to load in the Cessna Centurion if I wanted to fly from Adelaide to Perth without stopping to refuel?

Thanks!

1) You could try the Gimp (http://www.gimp.org ) but you would need some other tools to convert textures to and from DXT format if needed.
2) don't know if there are any public ones.
3) none. Just take off the wings and load it in a 747 freighter.
