Today we left Invercargill under quite a bit of clouds and haze that would remain all the way.
Downside of it is that the vibrant colors of the landscapes didn't come to their full right.

All fueled up and ready to leave Invercargill with the PC12 again this time.

First waypoint, Dunedin...

... followed by Omarama...

... Mount Mary (just a bit of it visible at the right side.... mostly out of view)

As you can see, the cloud and haze didn't result in a most appealing view, but things aren't always at their best in real life either.

Mount Cook in the background...

Rakaia...

Christchurch...

... and after crossing quite some impressive mountain ranges where we had to climb above the clouds to be on the safe side, we finaly arrived at Nelson, the final destination of this leg.
@Steve, too bad I couldn't take any better pictures of those great mountain ranges

This is a very neat little airport and town near the northern tip of New Zealands South Island.

The next leg will take us back to Australia...

Total block to block time: 2 hour 12 minutes

Flown using:
Microsoft Flight simulator X
Flight1 Pilatus PC12
Active Sky 2012 for weather
Scenery: FTX/Orbx NZ South Island; http://fullterrain.com/product_nzsi.html

Good on you for flying in that weather Stefaan! Sometimes it's nice to take a chance on what the world throws at you and fly the reality!

Great pictures, I haven't tried out that scenery yet and I'm looking forward to it even more now.
