Hi Guys,

We were only three pilots in the air this time, Stefaan & Vic have some personal matters to take care of. We have a nice trip from PADL - Dillingham to 2A6 Kotlik.

Dep, from PADL

T/G at PAMY - Mekoryuk

T/G at PAPH - Hooper Bay

T/G at PASM - St Mary's

Some pic. terrain & formation

T/G at PAEM - Emmonak

Dave waiting in the bush LOL

Final stop at 2A9 - Kotlik, there are two AP called Kotlik very close to each other. KOL with a short RWy02/20 so we used 2A9 16/34. Christian got a bit confuse but mange to use the right one.

See you next week.

Pär

Hi crew.

It was again time for another MP Session yesterday and so we departed from Dillingham, Alaska to Kotlik (New). First here is a map of the route.

During the departure it was rather windy at Dillingham with winds out of the north @ 15 knots gusting to 24.

Shortly past 18:00 Zulu we taxied out to the runway. Here you can see Pär lining up behind me. He was flying a Vought Corsair, but I assigned him the FW190A9 once more.

Then it was time to depart and first we had to climb to 13000 feet for a longer flight, but with a higher cruising speed time wasn't such a big issue. I flew a little time along to Pär.

Then we arrived to Mekoruk (PAMY) where Dave was waiting. He 'joined' us later as he had some problems to connect to FSInn, but we had him already on Teamspeak.

Then Pär approached to the runway.

Pär obviously didn't care about his six o'clock...Biggrin

Then it was time for another touch and go.

During the following touch and go Pär overtook me in final and landed in front of me and I had to clean up his mess - once more.Rofl

Pär is flying around the Alaskan scenery:

Then it was time for a little bit of IFR flying: I Follow River.Runandhide

Thereafter we came to our destination. We are all parked together at the airfield of (New) Kotlik now.

Hopefully next weekend we will also have Stefaan and Vic back. See you back next Saturday.
Guess who?

Today I did a quick transition from PADL to 2A9 to catch up with the guys...

Leaving PADL, sunny but cold...

Took a near direct route to 2A9, enroute cruising at 15.000ft

Arrival at Kotlik, winds favour RW02 so I'll go for a circuit around

and getting ready for the approach to RW02

Short final

OK, shut down... let's see where the guys hang out :-)

See you guys back next week !

Hi Pär and Stefaan.

You both have posted some really nice pictures. It appears that sooner or later we have to 'turn back the time'. RoflBiggrin

Stefaan is that the P-47 that you fly?
