After I had a good sleep in my bed at the Millennium Hotel this night, and not as the night before as in the middle of it the phone rang and the voice on the other end told me that I had to get up early in the morning to head out to Rohn to pick up a musher, who had a crash in Dalzell Gorge and needed to be flown to Merrill as soon as possible, I got up also quite early in the morning for another flight, this time heading to Finger Lake to pick up two bags of trash and 5 tents.

It was still dark as I arrived at Merrill and met with my co-pilot Stephan Winter. We did the preflight checks and at 7:08 AKST we got airborne and set heading to Finger Lake. We climbed to 5000 feet to get clear of the terrain en-route and let the autopilot do its job.

After flying time of 39 minutes we arrived at Finger Lake and were invited for a nice breakfast which came handy at the moment.

At 8:59 AKST we departed Finger Lake with our load, which needed to be delivered to Wasilla, and climbed to 3000 feet this time as per check with the GPS no significant high terrain would be along our actual route.

We had nice flying weather today, without the low visibility we encountered the last few days around Anchorage.

At 9:36 AKST we landed on the apron at Wasilla for unloading the Bell 412, which was smelling not very comfortable.

So, here we are and awaiting new orders.

Oh, btw the musher who had the accident is doing well, what could be heard.
